I moved into the new GBT building a few months ago and, truth be told, I find the new building to be better than the old one and I believe most people would agree with me on this.
Due to the new building being closer to where I live, I don't need to travel as long as before and can soon start thinking about picking up more hours at the new station, allowing me to work more on my podcasts.
Inside the new building there are two radio rooms unlike the old building which only had one, a kitchen that anyone can use and a larger room that can and is most commonly used for activities such as, yoga, dancing, pumpkin carving and much more. There is also a maple tree that we hope to be here for years to come!
Outside the new building there is a bus stop, a pump track (bike track) which is for anyone to use, a few more trees (not maple) and close by to the new building there is The Marble Club and a shop, rather close, in case you ever need to go to the shop because you forgot something!
However I feel that the new station doesn't feel as "alive" as the old building - although that's probably just due to the new building being just that: new. I'm sure that, with time, the new building will gain the vibe that makes the old building feel alive, and I'm sure you will feel the same too! (if you don't already!)
